Default Stage 1 Upgrade Completed This Week

I did the stage one upgrade on my on my 2007 XL1200c this week.

As mentioned in some earlier threads I decided to go with the SE Street Performance pipes since I live in a residential neighborhood with some elderly neighbors on both sides of me. There's still a nice sound improvement with the street legal SE's - it's a deeper and richer sound than the stock whirleys.

I also used the HD SE Air cleaner kit although at some point I may go with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker to get rid of that canned ham cover.

The PCII came with o2 eliminators and I got the latest map from their website. Because I have the PCIII I didn't need the HD download. The PCIII also has a rev extender configuration built in which is a plus..

So far I've been impressed with the performance boost..increased torque from a dead stop and much smoother acceleration across the powerband...this thing can finally breathe!

I did the install myself and it was a piece of cake..took less than 2 hours for everything - the hardest part was getting the stock slipons off. The PC III only took 15 minutes to install once I had the map downloaded from my computer.

I used the following parts :

HARLEY SCREAMIN EAGLE AIR CLEANER KIT XL 07UP 29782-07 $ 129.00
POWER COMMANDER 817-511 HARLEY 07 SPORTSTER 1200 XL 289 $ 279.00
HARLEY SCREAMING EAGLE STREET PERFORMANCE PIPES 80503-07 $ 251.00

I got the Air and PCIII from Eastern Performance Cycles (I highly recommend them) and I got the pipes from M&M Cycles (great folks also). My total cost including the PC III race tuner was $ 659.00.

I'll try to post some pics and maybe a video soon to give everyone an idea of how the pipes sound.
