Question Exhaust upgrade with stage one air cleaner

Going to get some radius street sweepers put on my 1200 I have a stage 1 air cleaner. So my question is must I buy a fuel commander as well to make sure it's tuned and won't cause any problems . Money could get a little tight considering the exhaust is around 400 and the f/c could run around 250 so if there's another way to make sure it's tuned right I would look into going that rout

Fuel Moto Micro EFI for $199 and they map it for you.

Looks like they don't have it for the 2001 model

If yours is a 2001 sporty it will not be fuel injected. Simple jet change will take care of your extra fuel needs. I.m sure someone will chime in on the jet sizes.

If the engine is stock other than the stage 1 components (exhaust, intake), your engine is carbureted, meaning you'll need to rejet the carburetor. You would put a tuner on a fuel-injected engine.

Probably best to rejet...it's cheap if you know how to do it yourself. If not, perhaps DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts may help eliminate/reduce reversion....until you can scrape up enough $$ to properly tune.

I have a 2000 1200XLH. I have 45 and 185 jets with a stage one. The best thing I have found is to adjust the air/fuel mixture screw. I also took the baffels out of my Vance and Hines short shots and installed home made lolly pops. All I can say is Hang On tight!
