checked out the PV at Hammer Performance...nice but expensive
I plan on installing a upgrade on air filter and a Patriot Defender. I really like the idea of loud and stock. Nice to have that option. My question is this
Would it be less expensive to dyna the '12 custom at a shop for opened and closed position on the pipes or to invest in a auto tuner and do it myself...which is kinda silly being i would not know what to do anyway
Opinions are valued
Agree with aswracing. Also support by fuelmoto is awesome. The PV is expensive but worth the money. I have PV with autotune. I purchased my unit from DK Customs which also has great customer service. The PV will come with a custom tune based on your mods. I autotuned the custom tune then sent my autotune to Jamie at fuelmoto to tweak the tune. So you really do not need to be technically savvy to tune your ride. As mentioned by aswracing, there are many less expensive options out there...Fuelmoto Micro EFI tuner is also a good less expensive option according to many on here that use it.
I also use my unit as a gauge to monitor engine temp, rpm, voltage, and gear (there are many other things you can monitor). I had a HD digital gear indicator on my bike before I got the autotune and that alone cost me over $200. Here is a pic of the unit gauge feature. You can also change the view to the analog/dial type if you prefer.
Thinking the PowerVision has a expensive entrance fee but the show(results)would be worth it.
That's probably the route I'll go on my '15 FXDL minus dealer involvement.
Go with the Fuel Moto Micro EFI, it has 3 selectable map switch. You can store maps for fully open, mid position, or fully closed baffles. Switching maps is as easy as dropping the battery cover and turning a small dial on the Micro EFI.
$199 and free unlimited maps from Fuel Moto. Two beer install time. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/series-19...efi-tuner.html
