Crash, is that derby cover new from HD, or after market?

Like I had said, the bike isn't done, hence a lot of unplugged connecting and cables hanging. The bike will be cleaned before being put out.

Yes, the derby cover, timer cover, primary cover, gear case cover, pulley cover, and rocker box covers are all new from HD and found in the 2016 catalog. We put them on this sporty, which will be put on the floor for sale. It also has the new bars and air cleaner. It originally had the RSD Slant exhaust, but decided to go with the V&H Comp pipe.

Bike looks really good. Did you guys have to lengthen the brake cable for the bars? Also I thought you had to wait until at least for the 500 miles break in to put on pipes and stuff? or is that just bs that the dealer tells you?

A few things, pros and cons on my 48:

Pros: Beefier front forks and stabilzer combo up front is what drew me to the bike.
It doesn't do that "dive" when you use the front brake. So far, awesome handling on
the road.

Pros: Improved rear shocks compared to stock but these needs to be properly dialed in
and adjusted for pre-load (there's about 4 pages in the owners manual on how to do this)
Once it was adjusted to my weight, it felt better on the road.

Cons: stock seat, although an improvement to the old pillow style, I found myself sliding back
esp when accelerating/ speeding up esp on the expressway. (My Lepera stubs seat took care of this problem)

Cons: stock pipes and A/C. The bike sounds like a lawnmower instead of a Harley (but this is subjective)
I'm used to V&H pipes on my previous bikes. The Air cleaner, tho it looks good in the pics,
It's actually HUGE in person. (8 inch round and about 3" deep)

Note: The stock handlebar with no rise gave me a backache.
I like the handlebars themselves) my remedy was to add a 2" riser
and it made a huge difference in comfort.

The pipes and the A/C will be the next thing to go lol

Here she is with a few minor mods:
Led headlight from ebay, Lepera stubs solo seat, La choppers 2" risers.
Oh and I had the dealer put in the LED fuel gauge (had one on my nightster a few years ago)

I saw one at my local dealer the other day. I'm still saying that the seat on the 2016 Iron and the AC would've looked better on the 2016 48. Would've kept all the lines the same.

Yes the new 2016 48 is longer, compared to the used 2014 48 that was sitting beside it.

Are the knee pads on the tank a HD accessory? I want!

No, you can change out you exhaust, a/c, and tune the bike right off the floor. That's why if you visit a dealership, most have "accessorized" new bikes on the floor for sale.
