micro tuner = save money run dynojet maps keep 3 onboard (sport, eco, xxx) that overrides stock EMC and forget its there
FP3= more money for a different companies map that flashes to stock EMC (or doesnt flash and its just a overrides stock EMC)
PowerVison= most money flash dynojet maps onto stock EMC and able to flash back if need be, have have up to 5 maps on the Pv that you can flash to (on a sportster you will most likely only use one map.) the multi map is great for touring, the power vision has a lot of extra features that may not be need now but in a few months could be nice to have. engine temp throttle position, just about every senor, finding diagnostics problems, if you keep it on the bike you have a lot of gauge positions.

to me you get a more "complete tuner" with a PV. but what do i know i CHEAPED out on a used cobra power fi2000 powerpro because of pure Laziness, just cheap and lazy.

I'm not in this to prove you wrong. I'm calling you out for trying to bully people into buying the same products as you and insulting anyone with a dissenting opinion.

You listed a bunch of 700+ lbs metric cruisers that my Sporty as a 1200 could easily destroy. Unlike you, I have a pile of things I took OFF my bike, not bolted on. That being said, when my 90" build is done in a couple of weeks I'm confident I can take on 600s depending on the rider and those metric cruisers you listed would be in a different division. That being said, I wanted American muscle. I could have easily gotten a plastic Jap or Italian bike long ago that would crush even my 90" Sporty. To each his own.

OP: I hope you got the information you needed and I will gladly continue feeding the troll for entertainment sake.

Also remember that Many people set a tune and never change it. Ever. My '92 FXLR had a Dyno tune for its stage 1 and a custom ev27 based cam forever ago...hasn't changed since...runs perfect. My Fat Bob has a Dyno from 2009...has run perfectly since. No reason to change, nothing to improve. Once your bike is set up with what you want, you're done. Some continue to experiment, but many find a happy place and call it good. Unless tuning is something you think you'll make a hobby out of, you will likely enjoy a simple solution.

you are saying fp3 is the best, it is not. i'm saying it is not. the pv is a better piece of equipment you are going on about your bike. i'm okay with you blowing money on building a "fast" sportster. it's your money not mine. i will not insult your bike. i'm not into the bobberish bike thing, made that clear a few times. not into any of that chain conversion and tattoo cliche crap either. to each his own, folks like you make rallys fun. i will buy you a pv and a beer if your sportster can best a vmax, rocket, and vrod. hold me to it. send the vids

I'm not bullying anyone. what i said is sitting in plain sight. if you have the money get the pv, don't waste time or money on a half measure... don't be cheap, lazy, and short sighted. if you don't have the money, say so. get a fp3 or a cheaper option. if that's bullying... well fk, i'm a bully. i'v been going back and forth with you, not the OP. others are repeating the same thing i said in my first post, while you are fighting for justice or some crap like that. good job

most of us will buy other bikes, upgrade, etc... fp3 is a one hitter quitter.... married to one ecu, nothing you can do about it... no moving it to the next bike.... buy another fp3. short sighted. with pv, new bike, no problem.. 2nd/3rd bike, no problem. this is long term value vs quick/easy

op appeared and said money is an issue. so for him/her, pv may not be an option. OP is also willing to drop $359 or 83% of the cost of a pv, holding off for a few weeks could yield a pv and more value.

name call all you want. don't change facts

Thanks everyone! I decided to with a crotch rocket. :P

Just kidding - both sound great, but for the money, becaues I have a phone, I think the FP3 is the way to go. Why? I am not building a dragster, I have a Sportster that want to breath a little more.

I will also continue to research to make sure I get the right one at the best price.

Thanks to all those replied...fell free to continue posting or trolling.

Wow, this thread just makes me want to try the FP3 for myself and not ask any opinions. I will be adding the V&H Short Shots with Quiet baffles, V&H Stage 1 intake and the FP3 on my 14 Iron within the next month. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it turns out.
