I was able to get all the parts for the removable sissy bar piece by piece off ebay (bar, mount, and pad) for about $200.. The pad and mounting hardware are all brand new and harley brand. The bar is also harley brand but slightly used but still looks new.. something to look into..

Just have someone make one for you that will fit a standard mount, or have it mounted to plates that go between the strut and the fender. I got my sissy bar custom made for $180 by a guy on ebay.

Have you checked Ebay? Plenty of options, from what I can see.

Hehee. I ordered a sissy bar when I needed it for an upcoming trip, the shop let me down. So I needed something fast. I took legs from an old garden chair, little cutting and welding and ended up with an ugly but very functional sissy bar. I still have it and I still use it for long trips. But you guys want everything to be shiny and cool, mine is none of that.

Why don't you just make a new pad for yours that comes up higher?
