Default Help please!

I just got a Sporter 48 and I love the bike!.. but after miles, I feel like Im seating in the bump of the back part of the seat.. it like I need to move back a few inches.. Im 5'-11"

Somebody told me to try the Le Pera bare bond, I received it, but it worst because the bump in the back is worst... Le Pera have a seat for long leg, but is like cafe racer style..
Im looking for a solo seat, more flat on the back.. without that bump up in the back.. to help me move back a few inches..

Any help???

Thanks!!!!

Although it definitely has the bump, I found the Mustang Solo allowed me to move back a bit. Too bad you can't try out seats like helmets...

...like I said in your other seat thread, the mustang wide tripper is good. Keep starting threads asking the same question and you'll keep getting the same answers.

Stop doing what other people tell you, without checking things yourself! Some dealers do have seats you can try out on your own bike on the road, or may be prepared to swap seats so you can try them static. If you take your own bike and have a good idea of what will be better, that should help.

What is it you find uncomfortable? If your bars are too close they will encorage you to move backwards on your seat, so consider changing the position of your bars, which will move quite a lot, simply by rotating them in the clamps.

If you weren't so far from Hollister, and I assume he's still there, I'd tell you to see Corbin and they could custom fit you. I thought I heard that H-d dealerships had some sort of fitting method, esp. for women(?) to marry up bars and seats, etc. to make things ergonomic for the rider. Good luck!

Peel the factory seat cover back, cut the foam with an electric carving knife (like, for a Turkey at Thanksgiving), re-staple seat cover. Adjust, as necessary. Easy peasy.

After peeling back the front portion of my factory two-up seat (it's not a solo seat, so your mileage may vary), I discovered a plastic sheet, that I assume provides water protection for the foam. I used a Sharpie to mark my desired cut lines. I cut out a pie-shaped piece, staying in-line with the existing height of the seat, but removing material from the slanted/vertical portion, towards the rear, allowing my butt to sit about 1.25"-1.5" rearward. Kinda like cutting a wedge from a tree before you make the falling cut. It made a big difference, stretching out my 6' tall person's stubby legs (I wear 34x32 pants), but I still had the non-rearward sliding property of a bolster behind my butt. When I re-stapled the seat cover to the bottom of the seat pan, the seat cover retained its original shape. You can't really tell the foam is cut, until you sit in the saddle.
I rode with the saddle (my modded, factory, two-up 2005 XL 883C) for a few thousand miles, then invested in a Harley brand seat that matches my mod pretty dang close, straight out of the box. I found the Harley seat, which I've used for years, used, on Ebay. The HDForum's Classifieds Section has been a wonderful source for gently used, cheap parts, too.
I still have my factory seat, that I modded, somewhere around the shed, but we moved about 6 months ago, so locating it may take a bit of rummaging around.
Having a large curiosity about factory seat fitment over the Sportster years and model range, from 2005 to about 2011, I purchased quit a few used seats to settle the matter, for myself. Here's a write-up thread:
