Found one at the dealer, but it didn't fit the bolt holes.
Found one? What's the part #? Which model and years does it come on, from the factory? A 2012 '72 appears to have a top tree cover, but it also appears that it's bolted to the sides of an upper triple-tree, not the top, like previous models ie. a 2005.

Is your "011 XL1200" a mid-glide? If so, I don't think that narrow-glide cover will fit
Yes it is, first year for it. I checked out the bike at Total Motorcycle. See, this is one of these threads where the OP gives very few details and then the participants do the research and problem solving.
Knowing it had a mid glide front end would have made this mystery too easy.
