1981 xlh1000 electric start, no spark

Default 1981 xlh1000 electric start, no spark
Ive checked all electrical with the volt meter, new plugs, wire, coil, flasher, breakers, relay, good battery. Turns over and has compresion. When i check it with a spark tester,i,get no glow. Does a generator effect spark? I checked the brushes and those seem to be good. Im at a loss. Any advice?

Generator does not affect spark. Is your spark tester any good?

When i have the spark tester hooked up and i flick the off/run switch i get a quick blink of a glow. I replace the switch and it was doing the same thing.

Does it have a sensor or old-fashioned points? Anyhow, seems like they are not working.
