I have a 2007 xl1200c. I was riding and all at once it just quit , thought I had hit the switch but that wasn't the case . I pulled over no power to the key or headlight but have taillight . And the battery is good . When you turn the key on nothing's happens the fuel pump doesn't come on like it should and no power to speedo . I checked all the fuses and they are good. But I don't have a way to check the relays which I have two of in with the fuses. I haven't done any kind of wiring and the wires are all connected like they should be . I am really list has this happened to anyone before ? If so what was it ? 😤😤
My guess is the connector on the key switch has a bad connection. Really odd you have no headlight but a tail light since they come off same power off key switch. Take your meter and check battery terminals and then the cables hooked to battery. Is the voltage the same showing a good connection?
Check for corrosion in the fuse box where the fuse tabs slide in as well as the fuse tabs themselves, also check the same for the two black relays.
The relays are the same so you can switch them and see if anything changes.
Also you had a similar problem in 2013, could be related?
This is a very common problem with the 07's.
I did mine with one of those wood/cardboard nail file things I stole from the wife, remove your big main fuse first and widdle the end of the file to a point and get in there and scrape away then blow out with compressed air and use new (or cleaned) fuses with di-electric grease, also do the same with the two relays.
I did mine years ago and had no problems since.

+1 - the 2007 models were/are notorious for corrosion in the fuse block/relay area due to water intrusion.
My second thought would be with RIPSAW on the ignition switch, where do you get power when in the accessory position? and is that the exact same as when you put the key in the on/run position?, if so the switch could be staying in the accessory position even when you move it to on.
