I have a 2016 Iron 883. I am thinking of installing a Vance and Hines Twin Slash Slip Ons on my bike. It is suggested that I purchase new muffler clamps for it. So I will be doing that. Now the question is, do I need to purchase new crossover gaskets for my new slip ons? I have been looking it up, but I cannot find solid info if I need it, let alone,if my exhaust has it. I looked up the part number for the said gasket, I could not find it either.
Any input would be appreciated.

Reason: Spelling
The crossover gaskets are located in the headers on 2014 models and up.
You won't need them for the slip ons.
Warning... V&H staggerd slip ons are LOUD.
When you mean loud, is it like short shots loud? I have heard the short shots in person. But I haven't seen nor heard a slip on yet. If I put it on, will I end up being the guy that the neighbor hates because of his loud Harley?

Let's put it this way.....they will definitely hear you. I installed SpartPartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffles and it gave them just the right sound.
The V&H quiet baffles barely makes a difference in sound based on the reviews. Did you remove the muffler again to install the inserts? I am thinking of trying out the slip ons before ordering the inserts.
I installed the V&H quiet baffles and now I think they're perfect. Too loud otherwise. Just make sure to keep the fiberglass wrap on (as much as you can keep on and still fit them in).
I have the straight shots slip ons on my 1200, and they are LOUD. My helmet muffles the noise, and the pipes are behind me, so the sound doesn't bother me. BUT I feel like a jerk riding through the neighborhood at 10:30 pm coming home. The sound was very raspy, and I had a lot of decel pop as they came out of the box. I pulled the baffles and modified them, and the sound is more mellow and barky now, almost no pop, but still loud.

I will install it and try it out for a while, then decide if it's too loud or not. But based on what a lot of people are saying, I just might need to get some quieter baffles.

My concern about being loud, is I do not want to attract too much attention from cops and get a ticket because of it. Another thing is, I do not want to be "that guy" in my neighborhood. Specially, like what you said. When I am coming home late at night, or leaving early in the morning.
