I'm going to look into the FuelPak, but I still think the dealer should be responsible for getting it right since I paid them $150 to do the download. They are the ones who suggested it. When I first looked into it they said I would need the SE Race Tuner, but then later told me that the download would be all I would need unless I was planning on doing more extensive mods down the road.
I don't know anything about the popping because I haven't put mine on yet, but I did talk to the service people at my local stealer the other day and asked them about just the download when I put the short shots on mine and they said no way. They said that the download wouldn't really help that I would have to have the fuelpak. He said if it wasn't fuel injected then I wouldn't have to do anything and if it was slip-ons they could just hook it up the the computer and tune it but since it was the full exhaust being changed that I would absolutely have to buy the fuelpak or the SE race tuner. If you want the fuelpak I'll send you a link where you can get it for 195 with shipping. It's close to 300 at the stealer.
I had the same problem with my bike, and increasing the gas slightly at zero throttle solved the problem. I have a PC III, and went with that since I did not see any maps that matched my bike's setup.
