I traded for her this am so it was money already spent, It starts right up , i don't hear anything bad knocking etc ... is the good..... I have a factory service manual on the way..
Its ruining extremely rich and to me seems like it loads up and stumbles in the 3k rpm range. Idle is fast 1300 or so rpm.
The really bad i have zero idea what i'm doing. I've always had mechanics do any real work.
Mikuni carb only number im almost sure i made out was t40
Suggestions where to start would be appreciated.
First step is to find out what 'basket case' means. 2nd step, make sure you have the proper filter inside the tank, and get rid of that inline filter-I had one bike that would barely run with an inline filter. 3rd step, get factory specs for that carb, remove it,clean it and adjust to specs.
That doesn't look good...may be impossible to have a good float level with that. Some guys like those carbs, some guys swear by S&S I like the stock CV with a little work to improve it
