I can tell you here in southern AZ we don't get any of that weird wet stuff that falls from the sky so not as big of a deal with the wrap/ corrosion. I have mine wrapped and enjoy it for the look and the small amount that it reduces the heat off the pipe.
Just know that if you decide to wrap those pipes that you are dealing with fiberglass. coat your arms and hands in baby powder, put on a long sleeve shirt, wear some latex gloves and duct tape the cuff to the gloves. raw skin and wrap = itch for days. and what ever you do - dont scratch your crazy neighbors or take a leak mid-process. you'll hate yourself if you do!
My exaust broke an inch down from the exhaust flange because the tape would overheat the metal. That or the rain would soak it and rot the pipes out. I don't recommend it..
