Default Check engine light

2015 48.

I just added passenger pegs so I had to remove the exhaust and loosen lots of parts.

I also put a new battery in. Yuasa high performance AGM.

As soon as I start it the check engine light comes on.

Advice on what to check?

I'm new to HD. Do I bring it to HD to read the check engine code?

There is a way to check engine codes. A simple google search should help you there. It involves turning your ignition on and off a couple times and the code comes across the odometer . I don't remember the exact procedure. But will give you a code and the same search online should give you the answer you need

Default Check Engine

I realized I have Vance and Hines Fuelpak and what it can be used for.

I have a long list.

P0051 Rear HO2 Heater low/open
P0154 Oxygen sensor high/open (rear)
B2271 BCM voltage low
U0100 Lost communication with ECM

Time for some Google searches.

oops I'm an ***. I'm learning more about my bike. This Fuelpak think is kinda awesome.

Cleared the codes. P0051 Rear HO2 Heater low/open

Is the O2 sensor just bad? How can you test?

Is there a way to get them out without removing the pipes?

Sensor should just screw out. Check maybe it came unplugged while messing around with it. May just be something that simple.

O2 codes can appear because of exhaust leaks.

Default Leaks

I'm going to order new gaskets and retaining rings just in case. I'd hate to replace an O2 sensor and and have it not be the case. I can't imagine I did anything to damage it.

Are you getting any backfire or popping on deceleration?
Anytime you remove pipes gaskets should be replaced.
First clear the codes and see if they reappear if everything sounds right.

I had one get damaged by the dealership shop a while back, apparently they are pretty fragile and easy to damage if not being careful. They had to replace it. Not sure if the stock narrow band sensors are expensive or not but the wide band one they had to replace was 70 bucks and they do just screw on out. Just disconnect the sensor so the wires don't twist up on u. Hope u get it figured out soon.

The stock gaskets like to bunch up if you are not careful. Aftermarket are more compact. I'm staying OEM and will just be careful.

If they bunch up they can restrict flow and allow a leak. It sounded fine in the 2 miles I road it.

For now I'm figuring out the FuelPak and see what I can do with it.

I'm learning.
