does anyone have the RSD PROSTEP HANDLEBAR 12" on their 48?
I bought a set of the RSD 12" pro step handlebars for my road king but I took them off because I wanted to go higher. on the 48 I have bars similar in height to the stock 48, but i'm considering putting the 12" RSD's on it because i'm tired of getting my ***** crushed everytime I hit a 6" bump on the highway at 70 mph. sometimes those bumps come 4 in a row and it brings a tear to my eye lol I think if i'm sitting up a little more instead of leaning foward, it wont hurt as much.
I was just wondering if anyone has a picture of them on their 48.
pictures are the RSD'S, the bars I have now, and the RSD's on my road king
i'm looking for these bars specifically, not any other types, so no need to post pics up of anything other than these specific bars...thanks

The only issue you are going to run into is that it's going to cost you a fortune if you like your current gauge location. Because the speedometer is built into the riser, as is the upper triple tree, you would need the RSD triple tree, speedo mount, and then risers. I was going to do it, but it would of cost me almost $500 on top of the bars....

As far as I have seen, no one has these on a 48.
damn...I haven't actually thought it all the way through yet obviously. you just saved me the trouble and a lot of future cursing when I figured it out next month after taking everything apart and realizing what you told me lol thanks.
i'll look at my bike now and figure out what do...

so I checked my 48 today, it looks like it might be cheaper to just buy new 1 1/4" bars with the standard 1" center and keep the stock setup intact....I just hate to have the rsd's sitting in my garage doing nothing.
I haven't looked yet, but I don't think anyone even makes an aftermarket 1 1/4" riser/speedo setup. i'll stop at Harley tomorrow and ask.
why would rsd make them like that knowing standard is 1"? what a d**k...

That is what I thought you might end up doing. Like I said, I'm a sucker for the RSD parts, and love the Prosteps Contrast Cut, but after looking at getting a new upper tree, new speedo mount, etc, it was going to be very expensive. I actually looked at boring out my factory triple tree and riser the 1/4 of an inch, and that was going to be very difficult. Roland needs to make Prosteps with a 1" mount....
And speaking of which, I saw a bike today online that had a matching rear pulley for your wheels... too cool, RSD and Performance Machine claim they don't fit, but some people are making it happen...
