My girlfriend who is of petite figure, recently bought a 2016 Harley Iron 883 and the stock bars make here reach farther than she feels comfortable with. i plan on changing the rear shocks to lower the back end this spring to help with keeping flat feet on the ground at a stop or parking, but i can not seem to find a pair of handle bars that will meet her expectations. i've looked at buckhorn and mini ape styles but i don't think the mini ape will have enough pull back and probably make her reach more, and the buckhorn seem to put the riders wrists in weird position.
Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions? im all ears.
Start with the risers mentioned above and if that doesn't cut it go to the reach bars or as we did on my friend's wife's 2006 bike we used the 2015 1200T bars and they made a nice difference for her. She now has some bend at the elbows. There are plenty of options out there. Buckhorn's are another option and they are cheap from J&P.
