Default Stage 1 mpg

I am considering installing stage 1 to my 1200C. It would be with SE mufflers and a SE ac. My question is what does that do to your mileage. Realizing mileage is dependent on riding style, I guess I am asking what is your before and after results. I would use Stage 1 map upload from hd dealer

I currently run between 45-47 mpg (US gallon). What could I expect with a stage 1 install

My 883 seems to get exactly 50 mpg around town, no matter how I ride. That's with SE muffs and ac and dynojet carb kit.

Iron 883 with 1200 conversion, Short Shots and FP3. If I rip around at WOT throttle then the low-fuel light comes on about 70-75 miles and it takes about 2.1 or 2.2 gallons. If I cruise around nice and gentle-like then the light comes on around 90-95 miles and takes the same 2.1 or 2.2 gallons. Totally dependant on how I ride. The "ripping around is mostly in-town stoplight to stoplight with short stints on the highway....lots of WOT.

I'm in the 40+mpg got 46mpg once V&h competition 2-1 dk outlaw 425 a/c powercommander V dyno'd by jett tuning. Sadly i have a small exhuast leak which sucks, where my muffler meets the headers. i scraped my exhuast in a turn and just cant get a seal on it. I may have to go back to using the thick stock gasket but for now i just ride it!

Talking

I can't comment on a Sporty, however with my Glide I've been through stock 80" to stage 1, to a major 89" engine upgrade and now a 107" S&S engine. Power is roughly doubled, but fuel consumption hasn't changed much despite all of that! The bike is much quicker accelerating and also faster (think high speed barn door!) and consumption takes a big hit when going for it. So while performance now has a much wider variation so also does fuel consumption. You may even find while riding gently that you get better consumption, offset of course by those wonderful crazy wide eyed moments!

MAN! I'm always around 32mpg - mostly traffic driving on my commute though.
