Default 883c Cost

what should be a fair price on a new 2007 883c, black, 2 up seat, with forward controls... MSRP from the dealer is $7795 +/- if i remember correctly from when i was there earlier... i was approved for the $0 down, $99/month for 3 yrs financing, ballooned after for an additional 3. (I would pay it off within the 1st 3 years).

any input will be appreciated.

thanks

If you pay it off in the first 3 years. My plan is to pay off my car in 4 and play the bike off right after it.

Around July 15th or so the 2008s will be out. Any leftover 2007 should be under MSRP so you might want to wait another month. If in 2008 the sportys go to a 1300-1350cc and a six speed , the 2007s will be way cheap.

Fair, who says dealers have to be fair? J/K man. MSRP tends to be hard to get at most dealers. Waiting for the '08 to be announced is good advice. I don't often give advice about what bike etc., but I will tell you what happened to me. I always wanted a Fatboy, ever since they came out. Last summer I went to the dealer and bought a XL883C because that was all I thought I could afford at the time. Within4 months I was trading it for a Fatty, lost 3K on the trade in (from new price). Maybe you want a 883, if so that's great, go for the best deal. But buy whatever you want, not what you can afford because when the bug bites, it bites hard. I guarantee that the 883 will seem tame within 1000 miles unless you really want one.

Seriously doubt ya see that kinda increase incc in the sporty. You'll most likely see a de-tuned 1130 cc VRod motor and tranny. And I doubt ya see that as early as '08, the new EFI Sportser aint run it' course yet.

Ain't gonna help you much, but the 5 dealers within 50 miles of me all sell at MSRP. The days of paying more should be over, except for possibly a few models in some areas. Tell 'em you want the $99/mo deal, and you want MSRP. If they want to screw with you, then walk out. Check the other dealers in the area, even if you have to drive a bit.

Balloon scares, at least me. I had that offier , on a 2006. I ended up , no money down , taking like a 7 year loan, $153 a month. But to date I am paying 2 payments per month.

The math/calc

7*12*153 = 12K +

This was a HD loan, not HD financing but they got me some Credit Union .

Buy a used one with low miles. There are hundreds if not thousands out there in this country for sale, cheap.
