Not to worry. If you mix octane levels 50/50, the resulting octane will begreater than the average. So, 1/3 of a tank of 87 should have very little impact on the octane level of the full tank.

I have a 01 and its always been run on reg 87 and I have never had any problems at all and I get to keep a few extra pennies in my pocket

90 octane is the best we get up here. I used to blend it with 110 LL avgas for some extra pop, now I add a packet of Rocket Fuel to each tank.
