Sporty runs rough @55-65 mph.

Runs fine in 5th gear from 45-55, starts getting tougher at 55. It also runs rougher just before it goes to reserve tank. Not a chugging like too low of a gear, just a rougher engine feel.

Like everybody else says, shift to a lower gear. What bothers me is what you said about it running rougher when the gas levels are low. I would siphon your tank and put some fresh gas in there.

The rough running prior switching to reserve is just that...fuel is too low and your sucking in a mix or air and fuel instead of just fuel. I bet once you switch to reserve you're good, right?

I have a 1200 with 883 gearing and I still refuse to shift to 5th till at least 55mph. That roughness is the feeling of a motorcycle crying.
