I ask because I had a sissy bar made to fit between the fender and struts. This builder specializes in sissy's and does a ton of Sporty work. I tried to install it today and it's about 1/2" too wide. And that's after trying to pry it in there.
I have a 2012 Nightster. He said he did one for an 04 Sporty with the same jig he used to build mine.
If not for red circled protrusions on the inside of the struts I would have been able to slide the sissy in. Maybe 04's don't have these protrusions?
LOL. Nooo,..I've learned my lesson on just grinding stuff off. He'll remedy the sissy so I don't have to hack on my scoot. Still would like to know if frame is different or maybe he simply made a mistake.

Seems kinda odd that he would count on the '04 being the same as something built 8 years later.
