Changed all the seals finally which was a great introduction to the bike, got it all back together and took it for a little ride.
Still farting and popping on deceleration, however much better than it was.
Managed to spray some cleaner into top of flange and the revs dropped, i think i have a leak still.
Would you replace flanges when doing this, could they be slightly warped? should i be using any form of sealant?
Thanks all
Trying to get finished as the decent weather has arrived
I usually just pull the exhaust. I would replace the crossover gasket in the exhaust too. Those usually don't get changed out as often. It's recommended to replace the exhaust gaskets in the heads every time the exhaust is removed.
Edit: forget the crossover if they aren't stock pipes. Some aftermarket pipes keep a crossover so I would still check.

I greased up my seals really good with red grease, then you only gently tighten the bolts, not much at all is fine. Make sure you leave them hand tight until you have the carb mounted securely so the manifold can align itself. Then do the gentle tightening on the bolts.
