All the major brands have suitable tyres for us and each has it's champions around HDF! Tyres are a frequent topic of discussion. I'm another Avon fan, got them on three bikes and have used them on my Harleys since the 1970s. Cobras are their /90-/80 profiles, Storm for lower profiles, such as on my SuperLow and replacing the original Michelins.
The Michelin Scorchers are nothing special, but having run them down a bit they do improve.
I hear a lot of good reviews about the Metzelers and Avon.
It occurs to me that the Scorchers are low profile, compared with most other Sporty tyres, and it's worth pointing out that Avon make a 150/70 Storm XM, not a 150/60, which is the stock size on my SuperLow. The Storm looks a bit more beefy and stands a little taller, but should be fine. Haven't ridden on my new one yet, as Spring has only just started to spring around here!
You could also try the 777; on ridersdomain.com the 130/90B-16 (73H) Shinko 777 Front H.D. Tire (black wall) goes for $79.60 and the 150/80B-16 (77H) Shinko 777 Rear H.D. Tire, again black wall, goes for $93.88. Free s&h. HTH
