I’m dealing with the exact same issue. I picked up the parts from the dealership, had my preferred local shop do the install and everything works except the fuel sensor. It’s even showing the low fuel light on with a full tank. My shop believed the speedometer was defective because it never did give the option to select the fuel tank isize in the setup menu.

So, I took it to the dealership and after running through the menu a few times to no avail, they will be installing a new speedometer on Friday. If that fixes the problem, then I get to figure out how to pursue getting Harley to pay for the work the dealership did, which wouldn’t have been necessary if the part was good to begin with.

I used that as a reference point as well and, unfortunately, that did not resolve my issue. Maybe the OP will have better luck.

Sounds exactly like the problem I had. The fuel sensor was fine, but the speedometer never did prompt to select the fuel tank size. As soon as they connected the replacement speedometer, it prompted to select the tank size and everything worked as expected.
