So I am thinking of finally putting up a set of slip ons on 2013 Custom.
My choice is between the following;
Phython Mamba
Cobra 3 inch Slip on Muffler with Chrome tip
Vance and Hines slash cut
Which and why. Currently I am leaning towards the Cobra the most.
I have also seen some different nos here and there, some give loads of HP and lose torque and or vice versa. If I do a complete Stage One with filter and EC tuner, will the tunes be able to balance this.
I have the cobras on my forty eight and chose them because they dont have that horrible IMHO metallic tone that I hear in most aftermarket exhausts. Just percussive low end. They are pretty loud but not obnoxious. I almost went with Rush slip ons but am very happy with the cobras. They are pretty damn cheap too
I just put on cobra speedsters RPT full exhaust on my 2018 forty eight. Would highly recommend them. They sound and look great and are not ridiculously loud at all. Also they have a lifetime warranty on the chrome. I chose them because they aren;t as loud as the vance and hines, and they have the crossover on the mufflers as well as the lifetime warranty(V&H is one year). I also like the unique tips.
For the cost of the slipons, you could pay a few hundred more and get the full exhaust, just a thought. Thats what I did.

Rush came out on top in a dyno shoot out for the hammer kit suplier.
As mentioned above, the Rush 3" has awesome sound and great performance. It has a good low deep rumble and loud, but not obnoxiously loud. Comes with choice of 1.75", 2", 2.25" baffles.
Have fun with your search...all part of making it your own..
I picked up slash 3 rush slipons on eBay new for 125 bucks shipped. They are awesome!
Agree. I got the same pipes for $100 on eBay and they are first-rate. Best sounding slip ons in my opinion. Deep and throaty. Only bad thing is they can't accommodate tips if you're looking to install tips.
I got the rush slash cut from a buddy for $40
beast dam $40 I ever spent.
Just looking to go with the 1.75 baffle currently 2.0 because they are too loud for me,but other Harley riders love the sound and suggest me to leave it as is.
