Andy that kit you posted included the front brake master cyl cover display unit. Better to get the new speedo and sending unit I think. Other HD speedos have the fuel level in them as well, just not as sleek looking as the OP's version.
I sure did. I'll get some pictures of it. Haven't gotten around to get the right fuel sensor installed, outside of that it works great.
I just started doing this same thing and came across this thread. Do you know what the black jumper wires purpose is in the speedo itself? Youve figured out that everything wires right up besides the fuel sensor wire so curious if it one of those spots would handle the fuel sensor or not.

Hey Airgroom, I was using this thread as a sort of blueprint to get this done on my '13 Iron. My current speedo is the upgraded digital speedo/tach combo with fuel gauge that I bought from the HD catalog. I was hoping that since I already have a fuel gauge installed I might be set up for this Street Bob gauge conversion. I can't wrench myself, so after getting the green light from a tech at my local dealership, I purchased a Street Bob gauge and risers with a cutout for the gauge. Now the tech is getting cold feet and I refuse to give up on this so easily
So were there any major pitfalls to this job? I'm trying to educate myself and understand the limitations/obstacles. Thanks!

Finally got around to upload some pictures. The speedo works great.
If you want the fuel gauge to work you'll need to get a fuel pump/sensor from a m8 as well, I haven't bothered with that and just use the trip meter to give me a ballpark
