Hello all... Installing the progressive monotube fork out on my 2009 883.
Reading the instructions it says to put the preoiad spaces between the top of the fork spring and the upper spring seat.
My monotubes didn't come with upper spring seats, but the instructions show a picture of themton there.
What am I missing? I' this a newer kit that doesn't require an upper spring seat and the instructions haven't been updated?
I'll try and attache some pictures...
Thanks for any help!
I installed a set a few months ago on a 07 883 and the spacers went at the top of the spring. I just pulled down on the spring and slid in one spacer on each tube at the top of the spring.

I would contact Progressive. They were very responsive and informative when I had questions about the shocks I bought. They have an email help - info@progressivesuspension.com
I put these on my XL1200T about 6 months ago. I used 3 preload spacers on each fork spring set because I chose less preload. Your photo shows 6 spacers installed correctly. If you want that much preload, just bottom it up and finish the installation. Less preload, fewer spacers. They appear to be very loose, but when you install the assembly into the fork tube, they will be fine. The ride on my Sportster was very much improved with this change. I agree with John Ha that you should contact Progressive if you still have questions. They are great folks and are willing to help.
I do remember that my mono tubes looked alittle different and only came with 2 spacer blocks instead of 3 like the instructions stated. I think they had a update in the design.
mine had the same issue!! I have not installed mine yet.. what was the resolution? and what about the small helper spring at the bottom? my kit did not come with any

The monotube kit does not come with the smaller spring, you reuse the one in the forks.
