I got a 2014 xl1200c. I’m replacing the stock fork springs with progressive stock length springs. The instructions say it will use less oil than the o.e. springs but don’t say how much to use just gives a min. I don’t want to blow out the seals or have the level too low. All help would be appreciated!!!!
Just maybe the instructions say that because the springs are physically thicker displacing the
amount of oil....when set to the OEM oil level (not volume/ amount/ ounces) measurement spec.
Buying an oil level tool (fairly inexpensive) I recall near $25. is a tool you'll have for a lifetime.
