Default Can I Switch Throttle Cables

Morning everyone. I'm in the process of eliminating the controls on my bars and I have a quick question in regards to the throttle. I'm replacing the throttle housing with something like Biltwell's Whiskey Throttle. I say something like it because I have concerns spending $100 on a product with questionable quality control issues. My problem is every other throttle housing I'm finding only uses the threaded end style cables, not the snap in style that my 2001 883 has. So does anyone know if I can either use an older threaded end style cable on my bike, or any recommendations on a different throttle housing that accepts the snap in style? Thanks!

Yes just have to research a bit make sure carb side of the new cable is same as what you have now. If you are using same bars make sure the length is equivalent to what you have now. You may need to look into a custom throttle cable dont quote me on that but possibly and maybe your best bet also. Hope that helps a little. Look into the motion pro site. I believe you can call and tell them your application needs and they will make it for you.

That's perfect, thanks for the info. I figured it should work but thought I'd see if anyone else has done something similar. Now I've got some digging to do, thanks!
