does anyone have the screaming eagle cams part no. 25197-04 in their sportster and if so how do you like them/ Do they make your bike hard on fuel economy? Are they noisy? Pros and cons would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

What are you trying to accomplish with your cam swap? More bottom end? More top end? Are you willing to give up some power in one rpm range to gain in another?
Chicken 497, Andrews n4s are very popular cam sets for solid mount stock 883/1200 heads and Im assuming stock rubber mount 883 heads. Im not 100 percent sure with the rubber mount heads, but Im pretty sure. Might want to answer aswracings question. One of the most knowledgeable guys in the sportster performance market.

I am not trying to do any thing. I just bought this bike and the dealer did a 1200 conversion using S&S cylinders and pistons and put these cams in. They also put a 30 tooth front pulley on. The air cleaner and exhaust are stock but I will be putting on Vance & Hines short shots exhaust as I will be putting a Frankenstein trike kit on the bike and need this short exhaust. The heads are stock 883 heads. what I am asking are these good cams or are they too aggressive? Also how will the dependability of the engine be? Will gas mileage suffer? ( I know gas mileage will suffer from the trike kit but will it also suffer from the cams) any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Gerald
Do these cams even work with 883 stock heads. If so the cam timing will bleed off some of your compression and you will have less power than the stock W cams. Unless the builder raised your compression with the pistons they used. Even then you may loose low end power.

+1 not a good choice if your compression ratio is 9:1. Way too late of an intake close. 44°?
Even at 10:1 you'll lose low end to the Ws.
