Default My long winter build

Hello guys thought I'd Dona write up on my 2017 iron 883. This is my first Harley and my first build also, so it's a long and slow process.
so here's a list of what I've done so far
- front mud guard removed and fork brace put in place
- cut the fork brace so it sits lower
- Speedo relocation to the tank bolt
- had to modify the top clamp a little bit
- swapped out all the engine bolts with blackened stainless steel
- 1.5 inch tank lift and wire tuck.
- Mx style foot pegs
- joker machine shift peg
- made my own custom horn cover out of JD hip flask
- seat changed to bitwell sporty 8
- 10.5 inch shocks
- serious cutting and moding of the rear mudguard.
There's still lots left too do, need to get a different intake I've seen a sweet one from kinetic motorcycles, looks like something from the old school jap cars, have to make up my own custom exhaust waiting on the tubing then have to make the pie cuts and mock it all up. Have to send lots of to get powder coated as well. Maybe in the future I might do a big bore kit unsure yet.

Here's the tank lift.

Speedo relocation

Top bar clamp with gauge indicators.

These are the front Indicators this side was an absolute nightmare didn't fit right and the company on eBay where *** holes and wouldn't accept they were wrong or give my money back, so had to make this work i ended up cutting off there mount and weld a small plate on the back to the correct mounting point. Some how it all worked and I didn't cook anything.

Headlight grill

Fork brace still in masking tape but sitting lower

This is my horn cover I made

My door pegs and shift peg

10.5 inch shocks

Blacked out shock mount bolts waiting on the top ones.

Swapped out the pulley cover for this have to get an insert or paint the inside unsure yet.

Engine bolts

This is the mud guard with all the unneeded holes welded up

The side view had to weld in to brackets so it bolts to the frame rails

New one next to the original

3 in 1 indicators

Need help with this bit

Tried this idea got some small pipe and welded it on the inside to run the wires through. But the wires don't fit all through -_- so need to rethink this any suggestions would be great on how to run the wires trying to hide them all and keep it clean looking.

Had to cut them back out -_-

Love that bike. Well done. I would say it needs a new set of bars though. Always recommend the people at wild 1 chubbys for bars. Good luck and safe travels! Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks pal still have a whole to go yet untill she's complete.
I actually changed the bars forgot to mention it as it was the first mod I did when I got the bike. I've got 1 inch drag bars on there and I run all the wires through the bars as well, that was a pain in the ***, as had to drill and slot them myself.

Looks like a nice transformation. Looks like your bars are a little off center tho

Thanks pal, I haven't set them yet only in mock up as have to pull the top clamp off for powder coating, so just roughly put them on there to check all the controls and indicators still work from all the modding and moving.
