My H-D windshield Part No. 58063-04 is only 0.120 in. thick. The top part flexes with crosswind pressure, dumps and flexes again very rapidly at anything over 70 mph. That causes a very annoying wind pulse right at my head. Anyone know of an aftermarket supplier of a thicker plastic windshield that is drilled for the H-D hole pattern? The Memphis Shades windshield on the XL 883 C does not have that problem as it is 0.175 in. thick. No, I can't just swap them, the Memphis Shades is tinted in a color that would clash rather badly with the Yellow Pearl on the XL 1200 R. Appreciate any help. [8D] BC

Why dont you buy thicker plastic yourself,you already have a template with the old windshield to mark the mounting holes. If you need it curved there are places that can do that.

Thanks brohrs. That is a good idea. I know of a commercial glass company here in LV that works magic with plexiglas and lexan for the strip hotels. I will approach them about my problem. I had to do a little "parts chasing" today after a custom made hydraulic brake line for a Jeep Cherokee we lifted to use in the desert. I did the running around town on the XL 1200 R. The wind was up a little here in LV. I really took a beating with that lightweight windshield flexing as much as it does. But, it was still a blast to ride the Roadster back and forth across Las Vegas. BC
