I don't know which are "suppossed to be more comfortable", but I put on Kuryakyn's ISO Grips which are thicker, and they are VERY comfortable!

It's all gonna depend on you and your hands.

Typically, the thicker grips are going to be more comfy. This is due to the fact that the thinner the grip is the more you have to actually squeeze your hand to grasp it.In turn, your not squeezing your hand as much with a fatter grip causing less muscle fatigue.

I like thinner grips. Feels like I can get to the levers easier.

I put the ISO grips on my ride. Couldn't believe the difference! From now on, the first mod I will do to any bike will be to put on the ISO Grips.

A lot of people really like ISO grips. i really like X2 grips they are squareish. and fit my hands better. It all depends on your hand and what you think

After riding with the large version of Harley's Chrome and Rubber grips on my Softail for almost 5 years, I'm finding that the small, stock grips onmy 883C I picked up a couple days ago are making my hands cramp. I'm going to larger grips asap.

I just switched from the stock grips to the Harley chrome/rubber grips. No more cramping.....
