Default Badlander Seat

I'm trying to get a lower seat for my wife's 07 1200L. She currently has the reach seat, but I heard that the Badlander is lower. Does anyone use that type of seat? Can you comment on its height and also the comfort of it vs the stock or reach.

I just purchased a Badlander seat for the sporty and it feels little lower than stock. Like maybe 1-2" lower but the comfort is better than stock. I might be going with a solo seat with springs in the near future and might have this badlander 4- sale soon.

Just researching my options, here. I'm trying to get ready to get a1200L. I've never heard of a comparisonto the stock 1200L seat vs. the reach seat. I've gotextremely short legs (I'm barely flat-foot on it, but I have 331 miles on a rental soit's only an issue when trying to backup the bike...or withforward controls). What doesn't your wife like about the reach seat vs. the stock one? If I get forward controls, I'd like to be moved forward a little; if Ikeep the mids I'd actually like to be slightly back further. I want a relatively comfy seat, but don't want to sit any higher.I'm wondering how the reach seat compares to stock as far as positioning and comfort. The stock seat actually cradles me pretty well...it's just too damn hard after about 75 miles or so, and seems to get even harder with each additional mile. It also puts pressure on my tailbone where the "bucket" begins to rise in the back.
So...depending on your answer, I MAY be willing to take it off your hands...I just need to know specifically as possiblewhat your wife doesn't like about it, while using the stock seat as a comparison. Does the rider sit higher than stock? Lower?About the same? How much is the rider moved forward? Does this make the seat feel "cramped" and smaller than what it is? What's the comfort level compared to stock, and HOW is it different, or thesame?I'm a guy and don't have wide hips, so I might "fit" the seat differently, butI've been contemplating aReach seat ifI go with a forward control kit, or consider a Custom (I likecast wheels, though). Post here, shoot me a PM or email, or do anycombination, or all three. If I'mstill interested, we can do the email and pm thing.

Teek,

Reach seat is comfortable but no lower than the stock seat. It moves you forward a little but not as much as my wife expected it to. I don't think you want THIS reach seat. It has been modified and decorated to Girl it up a bit.

Oh....in that case disregard the last part of my rather lengthy email to you then...the one about maybe willing to buy it? I responded to the email before I checked here first! Whoops! But most of the email concerned my own research as far as looking for a bike that FITS, most of it gathered by hanging out here, and actually sitting on (unfortunately, not riding) other bikes. It's mainly about getting a Sportster with as LOW a ride height as practical while trying to maintain some form of comfort and handling.

The LePera LT will lower you about an inch or two from stock. I really like it on my 1200c.
