Default 2017 1200 sportster spark plugs
Hi, i'm sure this on the site somewhere but can't find it, what are the equivalent ngk spark plugs for a 2017 1200 sportster, don't fancy paying hd prices, thanks

EFI bikes have an ION SENSING ignition coil. When ya use non HD spark plugs you run a risk of throwing error codes.

I don't think there is any price difference. We also discussed ion sensing. Someone knowledgeable (he had the patience to read it) said the resistance the system uses is not affected by plug difference. And it is different. I and running NGK. First two sets were Harley. I don't think you will get an error code. May get ping. I never noticed any. I run midgrade fuel . Level here on coast. Drive easy however.

thanks, i've actually found a hd dealer selling the plugs at a good price, that must be a rarity, a good price at a hd dealer !!

Noticed the same thing. Now they get it back on gaskets and o-rings.

I run NGK Iridium's in the Sportster, never had an issue with spark knock or error codes.
