You can change to a High Flow Air Cleaner (there are a ton of choices and options to choose from). But you will also need to do something about tuning it…as my understanding is if you change exhaust OR air cleaner you are fine, but if you change exhaust AND air cleaner you need to adjust so the bike does not run too lean.

On my wife’s, I changed to V&H Straightshot slip in pipes, S&S air cleaner, and V&H FP3 tuner.

Displacement...1250 kit is a good start. Match it with a good set of heads and a tune. Suddenly that sportster is a lot more fun to ride

The cheapest thing that might help a little is to change out the air filter element for a high flow version from K&N. The EFI might have enough built in adjustment to accept that change, which can get you a few more horsepower, without having to buy a tuner. You may wind up with a lot of decel popping or other rideability issues and have to get a tuner, though.

Going a little further would be to replace the entire air cleaner with a high flow version. That will almost certainly require you to spring for a tuner as well.

You could go with a tuner now so that you have it when you update the intake. It will provide some benefits as the bikes are tuned for passing emissions testing and not necessarily for best performance.

My wife has a 2019 883 iron with the big screamin eagle heavy breather intake and v&h short shots stock tune, it doesn't have any decell popping and run like a top no problems with 10.000 kms.

How many miles have you put on the bike since you got it? My .02$ is that before you start spending money on "up-grades" you should really put a couple of thousand miles on the bike. Why, you ask? Because without spending a pile of money, you will not get much more out of a bike that is very capable right now. The more you ride, the more you'll learn to get the most out of the stock bike. If you ever decide to get a different bike, you'll never recoup the money you spend trying to get 5hp increase.

This is my 2 cents, a motorcycle is a transportation system.
everybody complains about the lack of power so they do everything from a stage 1 too a 1275 big bore kit then they realize suspention and the brakes need to upgraded as well.
i would ride the bike upgrade the brakes with steel braided lines upgrade the the fork springs ad a fork brace upgrade the rear shocks the worry about more power from the engine.
