Data link not working

Default Data link not working

I have a 2019 iron 883 and my data link just stopped working. Not sure what's going on but my fuelpak won't connect and my fuel gauge won't work, plug is just dead. Haven't dropped it, there's no reason why the wiring would be messed up. Anybody ever have something like this happen?

Yes, it is. But I seriously doubt a plug and play brain box is the issue. Got something real or is it a cut down on something you don't like?

Do you have ~12.8 volts at the Battery Tender connector?
Have you checked the 15 amp fuse?
It is connected to the DLC and battery Tender lead.

The data link connector has 2 supplies going to it, one switched one not. The FP3 uses the switched power on pin 5.

The DLC is a direct link to the CAN bus. If something has gone wrong there other stuff wouldn't work. Hope it is a bent pin or similar at the connector.

What fuel gauge do you have?

Yea, checked all the fuses and I'm getting 12.4 volts at the battery tender only because I've turned it on an off without starting it a few times.

What fuel gauge do you have?

No bent pins sadly and I have the Harley fuel gauge that mounts as the brake master cylinder cap. And I'm getting power on pin 5.

I cannot find in the instructions where 2014 and up models use the accessory power from the DLC. In fact 2014 doesn't even seem to be mentioned anywhere.

Yes, both worked together perfectly up until a couple days ago. It's weird that the plug has power but it won't power on the fp3 or the fuel gauge and now today I rode it just out of curiosity and it's backfiring and running rough. I'm wondering if maybe the ecm is messed up.
