Need to do something with her ***.
Waiting on a 240 rear fender , thinking of losing the pillion seat, and sissy bar , might clean it up a bit to show off that fat 240 scorcher 11.
Any suggestions ?
Cant find any good pics of a swingarm / chain / monoshock build. Most are of scrambler / dual sport type builds with knobbly tires.
I really like the monoshock look, vs the side mounted shocks
Pls this is keeping me awake at night.
Side note :
Any personal experience or suggestions on a 530 chain ? Been eyeing the DID ZVM-X Super Heavy-Duty X-Ring Gold Chain
Thanks , JP

That's the chain I used to use on my GSXR 1100 . If it can handle 150+ hp then I'm sure it's ok on a Sportster . If you could get the sprockets , 630 chain would look better but that died out with the muscle bikes of the 1980s .
Personally I never want to see another chain ever again but each to their own .
Ah ha . So I guess those ugly steel plates were welded on to accommodate the extra travel of the swing arm caused by the single shock . Seems like modification for modification's sake to me . The handling would probably improve if that unnecessarily wide tyre were to go too .
Yup, that ugly welded on *** have to go.
The cool thing about cars , bikes , guitars , heck even houses is a guy can chop and change to personalize to your hearts content
The pics show the bike as i bought it.
The swingarm kit was imported from USA .
Rear tyre is actually stock Vrod 240/40/18 .
Front size 120/70/19
Bought 2 new OEM HD branded scorcher 11 's from HDGoldrand for less than 1 pirelli nightdragon's price.
At least this sportster got some adequate brakes.
Any pics from the rear? Is the wheel offset to the left side of the bike? A fender to clean things up is my suggestion. Right now the yuge wheel/tire combo looks out of place on a stock bike.
Has the bike been down the road as is? Or does it need finished up?
Any name brand x or o ring chain will work just fine. I definitely wouldnt recommend a 630.
