Default case bolt threads

maybe simple but you never know. Bought used 2008 xl883c-oil leak by case bolts (2 ) not severe but I think bolts are pitted, can you remove bolts, clean up and use loktite and reinstall even though tightened out of sequence? thanx folks

Which case bolts are you referring and are you sure it is not a failed gasket?
