I've never been one to back down from a race any time one of you wants to step up to the plate with your 883 gearing.

Iv eheard it is worth it, I was considering it but just bought the big V twin Dyna. I hear it wakes up the 883. remember the 883 was the entry level HD people naturally got tired of it and wanted more power. Ive had my 883 up to 90 MPH but it was screaming 65 is the ntuaal sweet spot cruise speed of it.

You'd get run over at 65 out here in the desert. When I went to Phoenix the other day in my car I was clocking 90 all the way there

My Sportster is pretty casual between 70 & 75, it took some effort.

If you guys don't like to wrench you really should just start off with a 1200.

Sportster isn't a highway bike or the 883 isn't, it will do it but it's revving...you'd get 90 out of it but the throttle is held open the whole time...Ive seen 1200s on teh highway thiose bikes do it but best highway bike is a big twin...I saw three FLHs today on the turnpike cruising at 90

The 883 has room for drastic improvements but it's one of the things I like about it. It's a huge HP jump when you do a 1275 kit.

Do you have factory 1200 rubbermount gearing? 3:52?

If you do, I most likely won’t need 5th gear haha
