I'm still looking to add a second HD too, but I can't decide between the Heritage Softail Classic or the Road King Custom. This new bike will be mainly for me and the GF to go cruising on or weekend trips, and I'll keep the Sporty as my solo rider. I like the RK because I like the looks with the hard lockable bags, and can add one of those detachable tour packs/backrest for the GF if so desired. TheSoftail seemed to fit me more like mySportster, but I wouldn't have the hard bags. I'll be going the "Used Bike" route for my next one. Ithinking maybe a mid to late 90's RKCustom......I think I'll callto check on loan rates and payments just forchits&giggles.

I'm afairly young guy and love my RKC. I don't think of it as an old man bike at all. In fact, I am more confident with it then I ever was with the Sporty. The suspension is certainly different and to me just tracks better and feels more stable in corners. I don't ride crazy though, so I never really push my bikes to their limits. But I must agree with some comments made here. Go with an older one. You don't have to deal with the heat issues on the new ones that I am dealing with now!
