Yeah, I'm one of those people who aren't particularly fond of windshields on the Sportster line.. ( did I put that delicately enough? ) but only for looks, I do recognize their value at longer hikes. So I'm looking for something I can live with on my Nightster and so far the Flyscreen from National Cycles is the most unobtrusive and actually kind of cool looking in a cutsey way that I've been able to find. However...since the Flyscreen really is very tiny I'm curious if anyone has any experience with it? Is it strictly cosmetic or does it provide any (noticeable) shielding at hiway speeds? Any thoughts appreciated!

YMMV I would go with "cutesy" tho I dont like the looks of a windshield either, but I have a detach on my sportster which is GREAT for riding over a couple hours at a time, it keeps your shoulders and neck from hurting and I wouldnt ride to the store here in GA without it at night, the bugs are HELL!

I got the flyscreen on my Sporster and itdoes makes a difference (specially arround the chest area). It maybe a little pricey, but definitley worth the money, plus it looks great!

I recommend the quick detach weenie shield. I hate the thing, but it serves a purpose on a long trip at interstate speed. It's on an off in about 10 seconds. So as soon as you get to your destination, you can quickly take it off and hide it hopefully before anyone you know sees the ugly thing.
