Ignition switch with starter functionality installation question
Hey everyone, recently got an 87 sportster that I need some help with. Ive cleaned up the bars and removed all switches as shown below and now need some help with wiring and Im hoping to not have to pull the whole harness out.
The only thing I need now is to wire up my ignition/starter key switch which I got here: https://www.throttleaddiction.com/products/weather-proof-ignition-starter-switch?_pos=2&_sid=127aa25ba&_ss=r
in order to wire this up can I connect the BK wire(highlighted in blue in the diagram below) that ran from the starter switch on the bars to the ignition terminal on the ignition switch then connect the coil wire to the accessories terminal?
Everything ya need is a fingertip away. Why complicate the simple? Looks COOL with no controls? The coil goes on the ignition breaker, not the accessory.
Since my ignition terminal will now be used to start the bike and I do not have controls anymore there should be no wires going to the other side of the ignition breaker. That's why am asking if I can connect it to the accessories. I have attached the ignition/starter switch diagram below.
