Default 883C Screaming Eagle - QUESTION

I am a new owner of a HD first Bike, can anybody tell me if a 883C Screaming Eagle contain the Stage One kit already or do I need to install one.

Also, what is a REJET and do you recommend me doing that to my bike..

Looking for more power...

Congrats and welcome to the forum. What year is your bike and did you buy it from a dealership? Typically due to epa regulations a dealership doesn't sell the bike if it's brand new with the stage one done. They usually will offer to do it for the cost of parts and labor. Depending on the year of your bike it's either carb/efi, in any event a rejet for a carb model consists of changing the main/slow jets. You will also want a higher flowing air cleaner and a different set of pipes or slip-ons. All to increase the air flow/add a little more power, which is typically called a stage one or "Harley tax" If it's a carb model it will be a re-mapp, (if that's the right word) mine is a carb model so someone with an efi can answer that one better than me. Good luck and welcome again.

It's a 2204 Sportster bought it for Republic Harley here in Houston, Tx.

Thanks any input would be great... Also looking to buy chrome accessories, just not sure where to start.

The easiest thing to do would be to just call the dealership, I would guess if it was done though they would have told you. Or you could take the air cleaner off and check the carb jet sizes. You'll get a lot of different opinions as to what people think you should be running, but an average would be 180/45 or somewhere in that range. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but it's an easy thing to do, and you can do a search on this subject and get a lot of help that way. Also I would suggest spending the 58 bucks for a manual as that will answer most if not all of your questions. As always though, everyone here is very helpful. As for the chrome, that is a matter of preference for each individual rider. Since this is your first bike I would say to really just get out there and ride and over time you'll come to figure out what you want and what you don't want (windshield, highway bar, different bars, footpegs) the list is endless. Good luck.

The sportster did not come out with fuel injection until 2007. Until then, they were all carb'd. What on your bike is considered Screamin Eagle? I'm not familiar with that style of bike, as Ken Thompson stated in his earlier post .

I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow and have them look at it...

I know the person who had it before me put a screaming eagle pipes and carb thing on it... It's pretty loud.

I will let you know what they say...

I live local..if you need any help you can give me a call.Dont know it all..but know enuff. Also, dont put alot of faith in any Harley Dealer. Some are good..most are decent...and some are out and out thieves. For example,in our area you want to stay away from the Dealer in the Woodlands. The new Dealer on Beltway 8 in Pasadena is decent..but new so the jury is still out on them..thats San Jacinto Harley.. anyhow, best of luck.>>>>David 832-640-8240

if it was implied it is a c.v.o screaming eagle edition sportster you got shammed. that animal dont exist.
screaming eagle performance parts are harleys own brand and usually what they push to install on there vehicles . it sounds to me like you have an 883 with screaming eagle pipes and a/c , not that rare or unusual. if it was me I would find some place to get the bike dyno tuned and find out if the air fuel ratio was correct and then just ride the bike for a while before deciding on what after market goodies I want.
and congratulations on your new to you sportster , enjoy the ride.
