I've got this H-D Quick-Detach http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_USfor mybike and all I can say is, it's a God send on long trips spent on the slab. When I don't need it (which is most of the time) it and everything it attaches with comes off in 10 seconds. Takes that long to put it on too!
I recently bought the brand new Quick-Detachable Touring windshield for Sportsters. It just came out this year. It's the biggest detachable shield for the Sportster, and it leaves absolutely NO hardware behind because it just clamps on with 4 clamps. I highly recommend it. It is really stable in all conditions, including highway riding. It's the shield I would get if I were you.
Oh, and it also looks "sporty" and not so round like other shields. It's sort of tapered at the top for a sporty look. Looks great.
