Scorpion EXO-400 full-face all year round. Plush, cuts the wind well (my windshield only goes on when it's under 40 degrees), and the venting and anti-fog work well. I also got an insert that lets you close up the bottom of the helmet in cold weather.
I ride with a half-helmet (1 of 2 that I own) depending on the weather. When the temp drops below 40 (which is cold for me, anymore) I wear a modular helmet that I got from jafrum.com (was $60 delivered to my door). When I wear the half-helmet during the day, I wear my Ghost Walker sunglasses. They are vented, and dark enough for my light-sensitive eye. At night, when I wear the half-helmet, I wear Wiley-X glasses with clear lenses. I am blind in the right eye. During the day, when I wear the modular helmet, I wear my Ghost Walkers, also. When I wear the modular helmet, and have my Bluetooth in, I can hear/be heard clearly. No, my Bluetooth is not specifically for motorcycles, either.
Summer - HD half helmet & Wileyx prescript goggles.
I got a full face but having a hard time getting used to it - It is a 2xl and seems tight to me so maybe I am one who should have the 3x mentioned earlier. It is warm though.
W/ the 1/2 lid it seems like like under 40 even w scarf/gaiter over my neck/mouth, I get a brain freeze on the slab
HJC 3/4 with face visor when it gets cool enough for me. Newly purchased HJC Symax modular with Fog City Hyper-Optics light sensitive visor insert. Bandana around the neck and chin works to protect those parts from cold air blowing under the chinbar. Balaclava when it gets even colder than that. Cold/comfortis a subjective thing, but 40 degrees and rain Thanksgiving night on Interstate 20 between Canton and Terrell, TX going 65-75would have absolutely SUCKED without a full coverage helmet! Especially considering all that road grime mist being kicked up by the tractor-trailor rigs.
In the summer, I mostly wear a bandana or head wrap, sans helmet.
I have an assortment of helmets. Even in the coldest weather I usually use a half helmet and a full face mask under it. If you are set on getting a full face helmet look into snowmobile helmets. These will have a breath shield that divides the clear vision part of the helmet and your breath so your breath will not fog up the glass.
