Rocker box removal
I bought the upper and lower chrome rocker box covers.I tried to take off the rear ones and couldn't wiggle the lower one off.Do I need to remove the engine? I removed the tank to get at the darn things.I got the top off but the spacer is just free floating on the lower rocker.It wont go up any cause the frameis in the way.ANy sugeestions?

I know on my Evo I have to turn the engine over until the rear exhaust valve in depressed all the way(open) to get clearance to remove the covers. Hope that helps.

It's a 2003 ? It's been a few years since I took mine off, but no you don't have to remove the motor.It will come off, you have to rotate it a little and slide it forward to get it off. Just keep fooling with it and you will get it. Remember how you get it off cause it has to go back on the same way.
