I got a new one off ebay.. fits where the solo seat attaches and then where the 2 up seat would attach on a 92-03 model.. Easy fit and contours to the fender nicely.. Flimsey, no but it is not "rock solid" since there are only 2 attach points so you can wobble it from side to side with some effort.
It turns out it's not what I was really looking for "in looks" for my bike so I removed it.... Want to buy it?? just 28.00 shipped to your door by Pri=mail

Thanks, for the info.
In 04 they changed the attach points on the fender. One concern I have is they might look cheap on my 06 Custom. Any opinions on that? If some one has a pic of one on there bike, that would be cool...thanks.
The Harley racks are well made and look pretty good. I would recommend a detachable one that works with a backrest. They also have a detachable that works with a solo seat, but I believe it needs docking hardware as well.
The harley one is nice, but the Motherwell one is also, a little smaller and not easily detachable, it looks custom with a contour of the fender. See J&P on line, an then look on ebay and the like.

PM me with pics, im very interested in it, but i got a 1988. (i dont mind drlling a new hole to fit it,) but id like to see pics, thanks
This one works fine from Motherwell and is pretty stable. However I would not want to load anything to big, because as said before, only two attachment points.
I have a bobtail fender rack for my 08 Fat Bob. It's solid and functional, but won't hold a lot of stuff and is only rated at I believe 10lbs. Its good for my lunch box or jacket, but won't do on a long haul. Going to get the luggage rack for the detach. backrest for overnighters. It looks good though - front mount goes in with the back of the seat mounting hardware, and the back of the mount had to drill into lower part of plastic license plate holder. Was a fairly non-invasive procedure, can be removed without any noticeable change, other than two holes in the license plate holder, which you'd have to know where to look to see.
I put a Motherwell on my wifes bike it works OK but it only has a load rating of 10 LBS. I think it's primarily a decoration but it does keep the top of the fender from getting any scratches.
