I haven't had the dealer to any work on my bike. But I've only done A/C, exhaust, forwards, Thundermax, new seat, and mini apes. I'm going to give it a shot at doing my cams, too. I'm lucky to have a good place to work and a Dad who is a heck of a mechanic and more than willing to help me.
RE: How many people do their own work on their bikes?
i do all my own work..the only time i had the dealer do anything was the 1000 mile service, and one time for some warranty work..i refuse to pay 72 bucks an hour for labor if i can do it myself..
RE: How many people do their own work on their bikes?
I do everything that I can. I don't know what I would not try to fix because there is only one person that I trust completely when it comes to my rides.
